DETAILS

Come for a beautiful afternoon of faith, fellowship, and inspiration at our Angelic Friar’s High Tea: Art Talk on Blessed Fra Angelico. Settle in with a warm cup of tea and scones, as Megan Alvis shares the story of Blessed Fra Angelico while focusing on his famous frescoes from the cells of San Marco in Florence, Italy. Traditional High Tea includes three courses: tea sandwiches, scones with jam, and sweets. Whether you are deepening your faith or simply looking for an afternoon of warmth and connection, this event promises to nourish both the soul and the spirit. Adding to the ambiance, the gentle and beautiful background music of Maria Spears Manaugh will fill the room, creating a serene and prayerful atmosphere throughout the afternoon. Come and be refreshed — in spirit, in faith, and in community. Megan Alvis along with her husband David have co-led student tours to Italy (Florence, Rome and Siena) for over twenty years. She is a mother of five and although not artistic at all has a great love of art history. Currently, Megan teaches at Highlands Latin Cottage School in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Maria Spears Manaugh is a Mindset Coach for women, speaker, musician, podcaster, and author. She is the co-founder of The Intentional Single, a company and ministry that equips women in developing confidence, leveling up their relationships, and thriving from the inside out in their single and dating years. Maria is also the co-founder of the band and women's ministry His Own, with Christine Wessa and Kara Oubre, and co-creator of the podcast Thriving in the Space Between. In 2022, Maria co-authored The Mirror: 7 Steps to REFLECT the Life You Want. She has traveled extensively across the US and internationally, speaking and playing music at events such as World Youth Day, Youth 2000, and NCYC, and has been featured on EWTN. She has released three albums with her band and one solo project. She currently resides in South Carolina with her husband.
